Last Man Standing season 7 episode 1 spoilers: Official premiere details!

Last Man Standing

While we’ve certainly heard a few different teases on Last Man Standing season 7 episode 1 already, Fox just unveiled a few more! The network has officially unveiled the official synopsis for the September 28 premiere, an installment entitled “Welcome Baxter” that is a very-clear pun on “Welcome Back.” This is a chance to see the return of Eve, more of what’s happening with the new Mandy and Ryan, and then also just how the family is acting following the events of the most-recent finale.

For those of you out there who fought so hard to save Last Man Standing, this could end up being a rather-emotional affair. Of course, it’s also expected to bring laughter; after all, isn’t that the focus of the show first and foremost?

Picking up a year after the sixth season finale, Mike and Vanessa eagerly await Eve’s visit home from the Air Force Academy. Meanwhile Ryan’s anxiety about current events leads to a shocking announcement in the all-new “Welcome Baxter” season premiere episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, Sept. 28 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Based on early indications that we’ve seen, it looks like the producers will cheekily reference the recasting of Mandy with Molly McCook in the premiere, and beyond that, you’ll get at least a couple of opportunities to see Eve. Because Kaitlyn Dever is a regular now on another show (everyone had to find work, after all, after the original cancellation of the show), she’s not as available as she once was — but she does still plan on appearing here and there.

In the end, it’s going to be much of the same show you knew, one that tries to bring people together but also create some laughter along the way. (For those wondering, Ryan’s anxiety seems to be due to his unrest as to the present state of the country.)
