Power season 6 premiere date hopes for Omari Hardwick, cast
Before diving too much further here, let’s go ahead and touch on the inevitable first and foremost: There is going to be a Power season 6. This is something that was confirmed by Starz earlier this year, and without much in the way of fanfare in the process. After all, there really isn’t any need for that sort of thing given that this show is as stable as they come. Starz knows that they have an enormous hit here and the goal in the early renewal was to ensure that they have all of the time that they really need in order to ensure that they get another batch of episodes out there for people.
Now, let’s go ahead and touch on the question in the title– when is Power season 6 going to premiere?
At the moment, the best guess is late June / early July, mostly because this is the timeslot that works for this show. While not every show out there works during the summer, it’s pretty darn clear already that this is one that very much does. It’s one that brings you a tremendous amount of buzzworthy moments and it actually gives people a reason to talk and tweet — there aren’t too many summer shows that are able to really pull that off consistently.
As for the long-term future beyond Power season 6…
We do know that this is a show with a finite story, and with that in mind, we have to consider ourselves close to the end of the road here. It’s something that creator Courtney A. Kemp and executive producer 50 Cent have talked about over time — season 7 in particular could end up being the past, but you don’t want to bank on anything just yet when there is still time for plans to change … and they still very well could.
