Survivor: David vs. Goliath cast revealed; Jeff Probst talks theme
Are you ready for Survivor: David vs. Goliath to premiere? The series is coming onto CBS on Wednesday, September 26, and today, we finally have some details about the cast.
Thematically, this is a pretty interesting season. The David tribe is basically full of underdogs, scrappers, and people who have had to overcome a lot in their lives. Some of these people are physically underdogs and others are people who just have had a difficult lot in life.
Meanwhile, the Goliath tribe is stuffed full of people who are absolutely used to success in one form or another. They’ve had a lot of things go their way, or have just found a way to make things happen. They are strong, successful, and capable of a lot of different things. These are people who are absolutely going to be favorites on paper … but the world does not always work that way.

This is a fun group of people with interesting jobs, and we also do appreciate the fact that there’s a wide range of ages and backgrounds in here. John Hennigan and Mike White on paper are the big names, but there are no guarantees that either one of them get far. This is a part of what makes Survivor such an interesting and surprising experience.
