Elementary season 6 episode 20 video: Is Michael out to kill Joan?

Next week, Elementary season 6 episode 20 is going to set in motion a chain of events that leads into the upcoming finale. It’s one of the most terrifying episodes of the entire series, largely because we’re focusing on a killer in Michael who is like no other. He feeds off of the battle with Sherlock, and this is going to be the case that likely tests whether or not Holmes can continue to go about his business in a traditional way.

What we know about Sherlock at the moment is simple: He likes to operate somewhat within the letter of the law. He understands that the best way to stop Michael is to actually pin some evidence on him. That’s been the big problem to date — he has been able to cover his tracks and be largely undetected. With the latest murder, we may see the same exact M.O. once more.

But what happens when Michael goes after Joan? The promo that CarterMatt has for you below seems to indicate that this is something that he’s going to be doing, which puts her in danger in a way that she hasn’t been this season. Sherlock cares about his partner deeply and with that, we have to imagine that he will do everything he can to help her if he gets the sense that she’s in trouble.

Does that include killing Michael himself? That’s one of the things that we’re the most curious about given that this is what it may come to. To Michael, we think having Sherlock turn into a killer himself would be some sort of twisted victory, and that’s where part of the mental struggle lies. Sherlock wants to stop this guy, but he doesn’t want to do it in a way that gives him any mental satisfaction. Expect a morally complicated and fascinating way to tie together most of the season’s loose ends.
