Ink Master season 11 episode 3 preview: Team Cleen wants to run the table

Moving into Ink Master season 11 episode 3, it’s clear that Cleen Rock One and his team have a very specific goal: Decimation. They want to steamroll everyone on Team Christian Buckingham and at the moment, they have the momentum. They won both the Flash Challenge and Tony Medellin had tattoo of the day.

Basically, Team Christian needs to really push forward now, and we think that getting back out there into another flash challenge is a great way to do that. These challenges often aren’t directly correlated to tattooing, and there’s always going to be randomness with them, but the advantage that comes with it is priceless. With the preview we saw tonight in mind, it seems like Cleen’s team is going to be helter-skelter in this challenge. That means that we could have a really good chance to see a little bit of chaos here and we are absolutely all for that. Any chance to see things turn unpredictable is something we welcome from a television entertainment stand point and that’s one of the reasons we were so excited for this particular season of Ink Master. Cleen and Christian are entertainment gold!

We do think that when it comes to parity, there is a nice mix between the two teams. This is a little different than last season, where it was pretty clear from the get-go that Team DJ Tambe had a good number of the artists that were considered the “strongest.” This time, it’s a nice mix and there are great artists on both sides — their performance is going to be circumstantial moving forward depending on the style, the canvas, and if they can stay focused. We saw this referenced tonight — it’s hard to be in this competition given that you are away from your friends and family, having to tattoo in what are some really strange conditions without the usual touchstones to your daily routine. We have always said that this is one of the most stressful reality shows out there with the hours they have to put in to make this show happen.
