Lucifer season 4: Should Colman Domingo come back as director?

Lucifer

If you’re a good enough actor and you play a strong enough character, there’s a chance that you are going to be able to do a lot with just a little screen time. That certainly happened with Colman Domingo and his guest spot as Father Frank on Lucifer. He was outstanding in his appearance and even though his story was brief, we’ve been thinking quite constantly of ways to bring him back.

In the end, were we thinking with the wrong wavelength in mind? We certainly are wondering an answer to that question right now given Domingo’s own mention that he should come back to the show as a director.

Ultimately, this does make a certain degree of sense when you think about it. After all, Colman is just coming off of directing Fear the Walking Dead, and he was a director in some other entertainment spaces even before that. He knows his way around this part of the profession, and clearly, he already has a built-in rapport with much of the cast and crew.

As for whether or not it’s possible this season, we imagine that Lucifer may already have their field of directors set — after all, this is often something that is planned out in advance. Yet, isn’t this still something that could be good down the road? Like many others, we certainly don’t imagine that Lucifer is going to end with season 4. Netflix went through a lot of trouble in order to bring it back for another season and because of that, we like to think that they will be interested in keeping it going. If the production schedule remains the same, it’s very well possible that he could do this during his Fear the Walking Dead hiatus.
