Take Two episode 12 promo: Dating and dinner parties

Take Two episode 12 is coming to ABC on Thursday night, and all signs point towards this being a case where Sam and Eddie’s chemistry goes off the charts.

Why is that? Well, a big part of it starts with the case involving an art thief. When you’re dealing with this sort of crime, there is a sort of glamour that comes along with it — think in terms of tuxedos, dresses, and fancy art galas. Add to this a particularly flirty woman and Sam getting back into the dating world, and you have an episode that seems as though this is going to be one of the most romantic ones of the season. Or, at least ABC wants you to think this way.

When it comes to the relationship between Sam and Eddie, the intention here is obviously to have people rooting for Rachel Bilson and Eddie Cibrian’s characters to get together. That’s been the way of things from the beginning! Over the next two episodes, we do imagine that the writers will want to explore this a little bit. Yet, at the same time we do also think that the show isn’t going to try and rush things, either, or push the two forward in a way that doesn’t feel organic for their story. Basically, Take Two is a tricky balancing act — but it is also a fun one! One of the reasons why this show is so great is because it really does give you a fun, lighthearted sense of escapism — it also makes you care about the characters. Per our recent interview with Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller, these are things that we absolutely do care about.

No matter what happens here, we have a feeling that it will carry into the finale.
