Salvation season 2 episode 12 preview: All about a ‘Hail Mary’

Salvation season 2 episode 12 carries with it the title of “Hail Mary” and with that, miracles could be at the center of everything.

At a certain point this season, we knew that it was going to come to this — a place where we would end up seeing people scramble and desperately seek some sort of resolution. As options start to run out, eventually you’re going to have to think about last-ditch ideas.

Basically, we are now in the home stretch for some of the show’s main characters and beyond that, we’re also in the midst of the home stretch for the series itself. There is no guarantee that there will be a season 3 and the ratings are not exactly giving us a whole lot of hope in the future. What these two episodes represent to us are an opportunity for Salvation to really put itself out there and try to deliver some sort of exceptional story that gets people talking and hoping that there is something more coming around the bend. It needs a moment or two that are earth-shattering, largely since this may be the only way to ensure that buzz builds and ratings tick up entering the finale.

If this finale does mark the end, let’s just hope that there is some sort of conclusion that will satisfy most long-time fans. After all, on some level we feel like the writers knew they could be in this situation given some of the show’s recent performance as of late. Putting out an enormous cliffhanger at this point may not do too much good, other than just stoking some imaginations.
