Do we think that Teresa is going to die in the finale? Probably not, but we do think that it’s important that the show sets things up that she could. That’s the challenging balancing act for a series like this.

The state of the current ratings

Is there a chance at a season 4 renewal? We’ve been advocating for it for quite some time and we certainly think that there is a good chance that this could happen. Season 3 is averaging around a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, and the live viewing in general is barely down at all versus season 2. We have to think that this show remains USA’s hidden gem, one that manages to excel without a lot of attention. It has a devoted legion of fans and a story that is addicting and appealing.

While we don’t think that a show about empire-building like Queen of the South can last forever, we certainly do think that there’s potential for at least a couple more seasons down the road.
