The Good Doctor season 2 trailer: Shaun’s crisis, Lisa Edelstein, and more

Good Doctor episode 2 ratings

ABC has just unveiled a new trailer for The Good Doctor season 2, and this is one that brings the drama, emotion, and everything else you love you love about this show.

In the trailer below (via The Hollywood Reporter), you can see Shaun facing some more adversity over some of his actions. Beyond just that, this trailer is yet another reminder that as strong as he may be in some aspects of his medical career, at the same time he is also still struggling with the social aspects of his job. He recognizes that his autism is a big part of the reason why and beyond just that, he is very cognizant that this is something that is not going to go away. He will need to continue to find ways to manage it as he works to be both the best doctor and person that he can possibly be.

This trailer is also a nice reminder of another couple of things. For starters, Jared will be present, at least briefly, for the premiere before the character moves on. Beyond just that, you also have a glimpse in here of Lisa Edelstein in the role of a master oncologist, someone who has a history with Dr. Glassman (they may not always get along) but he recognizes that she is the best person to help him after his cancer diagnosis.

This is going to be a season about personal growth in many ways, but also Shaun proving that he has what it takes to be a doctor that the St. Bonaventure Hospital needs. He’s shown over the first season that he is a more than capable physician, but there are so many components that go into making someone able to maintain such a hard job.
