Supergirl season 4: More news on Lois Lane casting search

One of the biggest reveals that has come out regarding Supergirl season 4 is learning that producers are looking for the iconic character of Lois Lane! She will appear alongside Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, and given just how important this role is in this universe, it’s pretty clear that producers want to get this casting right.

According to a casting breakdown obtained by That Hashtag Show (which seems to be adept at finding such things), Supergirl is looking to bring on board a “Caucasian woman in her early 30s as Lois Lane. Described as the daughter of US General Sam Lane, Lois is a tenacious, righteous and stubborn reporter who will go to any length to get the story and almost never fails.”

According to the breakdown, you will see Lois in two out of the three episodes that constitute the crossover — she will not be turning up in the Arrow portion. It feels this year like the producers are trying to concentrate mostly on telling a consistent story with the crossover rather than just fill up four hours of programming. After all, Legends of Tomorrow is not featured in the event this year, which we’re both disappointed by and also understand since that show has a ton of characters that Warner Bros. TV would have to account for. Just remember here that they also have Batwoman (Ruby Rose) to consider, as she is going to be at the center of almost everything that they do.

The crossover event is not going to air until December, but with it filming in the near future we feel like this casting could be revealed over the next few weeks.
