Legacies cast photo: What does The Originals spin-off look like?

Legacies cast photo

One of the more interesting fall series coming up on the schedule is Legacies, and we do think that there are several different reasons for that. For starters, it’s set within the world of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, and it also features two series regulars we know rather well already in Danielle Rose Russell (Hope) and Matt Davis (Alaric).

Yet, for all we know about the show, there are also many question marks — and the cast photo above is a good signal of that given that there are so many characters we don’t know yet. With that, let’s share a little more information as to what we know right now.

The setting – Legacies is set at the Salvatore School, where supernatural beings can find a safe place for them to grow up and better understand their abilities. Basically, this feels a lot like Harry Potter meets X-Men, which is probably what the appeal of this show was from the start. The school is in Mystic Falls, so that does raise the odds that some familiar characters could appear here and there.

Other familiar faces -Beyond Russell and Davis, there are other actors in this photo we have seen before. For example, Jenny Boyd and Kaylee Bryant are playing Lizzie and Josie Saltzman, Alaric’s twin daughters. Meanwhile, we have also had a chance to see Aria Shahghasemi as Landon. These characters were on The Originals near the end for an episode that felt a lot like a backdoor pilot.

Newcomers – We do have a couple of characters in the bottom left we have yet to see on the series. Specifically, we’re talking here about MG (Quincy Fouse) and Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith). Their castings were announced previously, but there isn’t really a lot of information about them right now.

As for other character crossovers with The Vampire Diaries / The Originals, we have to think that it’s possible.
