The Affair star Maura Tierney hospitalized, okay after bike accident
According to a new report from TMZ, Tierney was involved in a bicycle accident earlier in the day after a car hit her back tire, which caused her to far over. She was eventually carted to a hospital via ambulance, but soon after that, she was deemed to be okay.
Speaking to People Magazine, a rep for Tierney had the following to say on the matter:
“Maura has been released from the hospital with no major injuries … Thank you to everyone who has reached out with their concern.”
Tierney’s most-recent season of The Affair wrapped up earlier this month, but the series has already been renewed for a fifth and final season. As of this writing, we have not heard too much of anything just yet when it comes to the future of the show, but we remain hopeful that there is going to be some more exciting stuff coming. The most important thing right now is that Maura is okay, especially since bicycle accidents can often be extremely scary situations.
Some of Tierney’s other credits include The Good Wife, ER, and The Whole Truth. She’s one of those performers who, well before her recent claim to fame in The Affair, already had a wide array of impressive credits under her belt. Once The Affair does include its run, we imagine that there are going to be a number of other interesting opportunities that await her wherever she ends up wanting them.
