Is The Affair new tonight on Showtime? More season 5 hopes

Is The Affair season 5 new tonight on Showtime? Given how fantastic the series has been as of late, it would be crazy not to want more! We still have many questions, including what happens to Vik and, on the other side of that, how Helen moves forward. You’ve also got Noah and Cole wrestling with grief and many characters in general trying to figure out precisely what is coming up next.

Unfortunately, you’re going to be waiting for a while to see what happens next — and precisely what the series ends up looking like without Ruth Wilson as a part of it. There is no new episode of the series airing on Showtime tonight, next week, or really the remainder of the year. There is no final season premiere date yet, but odds are it will come at some point around the middle of next year.

In that video, we share some of our hopes when it comes to Cole, Helen, and Noah — but is it possible that the show could concentrate on some other characters as well? We do think it makes sense to put some sort of emphasis on the kids in the final season — maybe not full episodes, but it feels like they have a larger role than ever given that they are getting older. Meanwhile, you also have to imagine that characters like Luisa and Sierra have to be involved given the connections that they have with some other people in the ensemble.

With all of this said, we do have a feeling that there are going to be some new faces as well. It’s a natural part of life where people ebb and flow and you meet new faces at almost every step. Adding new characters only makes sense.
