The Outlander – National Dog Day connection is here via Rollo!
Below, you can see a new couple of posts featuring Rollo — one featuring the show’s official account, and another via John Bell, the actor who spends more time with Rollo than anyone. (The one via Bell is clearly just a silly behind-the-scenes tease.)
Want some recent videos? – Then be sure to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube! We tend to release new Outlander videos every Sunday, but we’re taking the week off this time around just because it’s been a pretty quiet week in terms of substantial headlines pertaining to the show. You can see one of the most-recent videos that we have below. (We have our own family dog Coco Vanderwoof featured in the background.)
One of the things that we like about the official Starz one (if you take a good look at it and zoom in on the full picture) is that you actually get a sense of Rollo’s muddy paw prints. The show has done a good job of having Rollo look and feel like a dog would at the time.
Nonetheless, Rollo does still possess many of the same traits that you would want in any great dog today, whether it be loyalty, an emotional bond, and someone who was there for you through thick and thin. Also, you can see from some of the John Bell photos out there that there is so much happiness that comes from him getting to work with him. The Caitriona Balfe photo above is another reminder that the joy of Rollo isn’t just reserved for Young Ian, either. If the show mirrors the books, then you are going to have a chance to see Rollo around for a while — we hope that the show manages to cram a number of other great moments in there, even though we recognize that Outlander has a lot of stories to get to in a reasonably short period of time.

I always got to this page without any problems before last week, and I had it bookmarked. All of a sudden, the formatting changed. I’m not sure what happened–but it’s back today, without me doing anything to it! so I’m happy. I’m going to read the stories I missed now. I’ll see if I have to do anything else.

This is the last article on my feed, Matt. Aren’t you writing about Outlander any more? The format of your index page is very basic now, too. Just wondering if it’s a glitch on my part, or on yours.
