Cable Ratings: Suits season 8, The Sinner season 2, and Queen of the South
Wednesday night’s new episode ended up generating as a whole a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and also 1.22 million viewers. These numbers are showing more than anything the very good relationship that Suits fans have with this season, which is showing that there is a good bit of life still in the tank for the series. It’s not the same show that it was, but it’s still certainly very good.
As for some other notable cable ratings…
The Sinner season 2 – The mystery series had a reputation last year of getting better and better in the ratings as it progressed, leading to it getting an impressive 0.8 for the finale. This year, however, we’re not seeing much of the same build — though it is at least retaining its audience. Wednesday’s episode generated a 0.3 rating and then also close to 1.1 million viewers. While these aren’t smash-hit ratings, they are certainly still good enough to justify the show’s existence for many more years in the future.

Queen of the South season 3 – Finally, let’s talk about a Thursday-night series on the network, as there is also some good news here in that the show is coming off of its best viewer numbers of the past month with 1.19 million watching. This certainly sets the stage for a nice home stretch, which in turn could lead to a rather-welcome season 4 renewal. We have a hard time seeing the show ending anytime soon.
