American Woman season 2 renewal: Will it happen at Paramount Network?
At the moment, we’d say that the odds for the series’ eventual return are very much up in the air, mostly because the ratings have never been through the roof for the show. The premiere episode managed to draw in more than 500,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating, but the season as a whole is averaging around 370,000 and a 0.1 rating. It had a pretty big drop-off and its ratings are a far cry from one of the network’s recent hits in Yellowstone, which has routinely brought in more than 2 million viewers.
The good news for this show is mostly this: We don’t think that you can really compare what American Woman is doing to other shows on the network since Paramount Network is still so new. They don’t have all that much of a consistent road map as to what they’re doing just yet and may not have a consistent one for a rather long time still. This is probably going to be one of those things that takes a little bit of time for them to figure out, and it does make some sense for them to just keep as much programming on the air as they possibly can.
Yet, there is also one counterpoint to this idea that is fairly clear: Is there a reason financially to keep the series on the air? We’re not privy to budgetary information from the outside, but we feel like that will play a role, regardless of if the network wants to keep the series around creatively.
As for when we could find out about an American Woman season 2, we have to imagine that it will happen over the coming weeks / months. They won’t want to wait too long to finalize anything.

Would love to see a 2nd season. The clothes, the décor and women standing up for what is their right to make it in a “man’s world” finding the strength within themselves that they didn’t know they had until push came to shove. I agree with others, more advertising and a 1 hour show would help to draw a larger audience. Love the characters and the strong women they represent.

I heard about this show from a friend, I was so hooked that I watched the whole season in one day on demand. Now family members and friends love this show. Maybe more advertising would help. Could boost your network. This show targets the good ole days! Please paramount give us another season….

I thought it was a great period show that would have had much more buzz on a channel with more viewers. I really hope that there is a season 2.

I BELIEVE JUST SEARCHING OUT THIS SITE IS A TESTIMONY TO THE SHOW. I BEGAN WATCHING FROM EPISODE 1, WE WATCH FRIENDS ON PARAMOUNT, AND THE ADS FOR AMERICAN WOMAN HOOKED ME, I AM 62 AND MY DAUGHER IS 33, WE BOTH LOVE ALICIA SILVERSTONE AND THE PROMOS WERE A GREAT DRAW. WE LOOK FORWARD TO OUR THURSDAY EVENING GIRLS’ NIGHT VIEWING!! MY ONLY SUGGESTION IS THAT I WISH IT WERE AN HOUR LONG INSTEAD OF 30 MINUTES!!! PLEASE GIVE US SEASON #2!!!!
