Criminal Minds season 14 premiere (300th episode) to dive into the past

Criminal Minds season 14

The Criminal Minds season 14 premiere is not your ordinary premiere — after all, this is the 300th episode of the series! This is a chance to celebrate the entire legacy of the show in addition to offering up a chance to resolve the cliffhanger.

Luckily, it seems as though showrunner Erica Messer is ready to take both of these challenges on for an episode entitled “300” that will look back while also determining whether or not Reid and Garcia can get out of that sticky situation they were in with that cliffhanger. The photo above makes it clear that we’re going to see all of the other field agents in the BAU, led by Prentiss, out in the field doing whatever they can to help.

For a few more details on the Criminal Minds season 14 premiere, just take a look at the synopsis below:

“300” – When Reid and Garcia are abducted by Benjamin Merva (Michael Hogan), it’s up to the rest of the team to find them. The BAU finds surprising clues in their own history to solve why the two heroes have been targeted by a mass murderer. It’s a race to save them before a “Believers” prophecy is fulfilled, on the 14th season premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode will provide us with a great opportunity to see if this prophecy becomes a big part of this overall season, or if this is the sort of thing that gets wrapped up in order for there to be some other villain ready to rise later this season.
