Yellowstone episode 9 is airing on the Paramount Network on Wednesday night, and with this being the season finale, you know it’s going to be intense. Given that the series has the challenge of wrapping up the entire first run of episodes, you know that they are going to want to leave you wanting more.
While you wait for this final episode to air, the video over at this link gives you a small sense as to the opening scene of the episode, one that features a grisly scene with a bear’s mauled corpse at the center of it. John Dutton is there with many of the local authorities, and you can see many interesting questions regarding the Sheriff and a recent shooting. What in the world is going on here? Are Dutton and Rip facing the end? At this point, they clearly think that they’re starting to be set up and they are running out of options in order to better protect themselves.
Yet, the thing about a show like Yellowstone is that it often writes itself into corners only to be able to then write itself back out on the other side. Even when hope seems lost for John and it seems like some higher powers are looking to shut him down for good, it’s fairly easy to still have confidence in his ability to work his way out of any bind. After all, it’s something that we’ve had a chance to see on so many occasions already this season.
As you go into this episode, don’t be surprised if there is some sort of a cliffhanger — at least know that there is a season 2 on the other side of the horizon and there isn’t anything to be too worried about in the end.
