America’s Got Talent preview: Will Dunkin’ Save help Sacred Riana, Front Pictures?
Ultimately, we wish that we could just advance Mochi from last week and have him move on rather than some of the contenders this week … but, such is this show. Check out our assessment of the full field below.
Recent AGT video – You can also watch our thoughts on last night’s acts below. Meanwhile, you can subscribe for more updates and take a look at our America’s Got Talent playlist.
Acts likely moving on
Makayla Phillips – She may have performed first, and while that is typically a kiss of death, it’s probably not for last night’s messy show. She has a golden buzzer and a lot of love as a singer.
Duo Transcend – An intense, exciting performance at the end of the episode. We love that AGT gave them a chance to actually shine in this capacity, and they could be the rare acrobatic act who wins.
Possible Contenders
Glennis Grace – You can never rule out singers, even if we think that Glennis is a little bit old-fashioned with her song choices.
The Sacred Riana – We’ve already heard all sorts of theories about the end of her performance, whether it be that it was purely intentional (she didn’t want anyone to see her climbing down the wall) or that this was some sort of last-second production change. We’re starting to think it was more of the former, but either way, she has people talking and that should help her.
Voices of Hope – We weren’t sure they would go through entering the show, but based on everyone else on the night, their odds have increased considerably.
Front Pictures – A very good visual act who really impressed near the end of the show — though they probably aren’t going to get nearly enough praise for it since their story is largely unheralded compared to some of the others.
Samuel J. Comroe – We liked his routine more than the judges, but America typically is kind to comedians and that will likely aid his ability to advance.
On the bubble
Da Republik – They recieved a lot of praise, but they were near the end of the show and there’s rarely that much hope for a dance crew to advance on the show.
Noah Guthrie – He has an established fan base, but the performance last night overall was rather forgettable.
Quin and Misha – While good dancers, there’s nothing about this that is either new or original.
Savitsky Cats – We’re not ruling them out just because viewers love their pets, but this performance wasn’t great by any means.
No chance
Yumbo Dump – Nobody’s voting for this. Let’s be serious.
