Call the Midwife season 8 teaser photo: All about the finer details

Call the Midwife season 8 is currently in production and based on some of what we’re seeing behind the scenes, the producers are intent on making sure that every little detail is 100% right.

For a little bit more evidence of that, check out the new teaser below! What this offers up is a really good sense of some of the painstaking work done behind the scenes in order to make sure everything is accurate not just to the proper techniques for midwives, but also in that particular time and era. We are in the social media era and because of that, there is certainly a cognizance among producers that there are some eagle-eyed viewers out there who will probably catch every little thing that is wrong and try to point it out. They have to figure out how to make sure that they are ahead of the game and we certainly applaud the team for getting ahead of the game here.

Of course, we also care just as much about the story ahead as the accuracy of things behind the scenes, and that is something that there is an element of mystery about and we’re super-curious to learn more. Of course, Call the Midwife tends to be super-secretive when it comes to some of what’s going on behind the scenes with its storylines, so we don’t imagine that there is going to be a lot of information about this in advance.

At the moment, what we do know is that the newest batch of episodes is currently slated to premiere on BBC One and PBS in the new year, but before that there will be a Christmas Special airing at (you guessed it) Christmas. We’re excited to have more coverage all about that in the weeks ahead.
