The Flash season 5: Should Peyton List return as Lisa Snart?
In this particular article, we’re talking about Peyton List and her character of Lisa Snart a.k.a. the Golden Glider, a dangerous character with ties to Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller). When we last saw the character, what we learned was that she was one of the few real emotional connections that Leonard and Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) had in the world. Lisa was dangerous, manipulative, and was also at the center of some really fantastic scenes with Cisco (Carlos Valdes). He had a thing for her, and while she may not have been so inclined to admit it, we do think she appreciated the attention. Also, he reacted to her in a way very few other characters have.
So why haven’t we seen Lisa on the show since 2015? List’s own schedule was a big reason for her absence, given that she’s done a number of other shows over the past few years including Colony, Frequency, and recently an arc on Gotham as Ivy Pepper. We never felt that we would see her on The Flash again,especially given the fact that Leonard Snart is now dead (at least in the present timeline) and that Rory is a main character over on Legends of Tomorrow. It almost makes more sense to see her on that show, though we are not altogether sure that there is room for her with that ginormous cast over there.
What’s the value in bringing her back? – We do think that it’s curious to see the current state of the Snart family with Leonard gone and Rory doing other things; we also just would like to see what the years have done in terms of whether or not Lisa’s feeling towards Barry, Cisco, or others have changed. List was perfect in this role, though there really wasn’t a whole lot of time to explore her character.
