Will & Grace season 10 books Jon Cryer — as Jon Cryer

Will & Grace season 10 just booked itself a rather big-name guest star in Jon Cryer. The twist? He’s actually going to be playing himself as opposed to a character!

According to a new report coming in right now via The Hollywood Reporter, the former Two and a Half Men star will be coming on board the NBC series as himself, which we imagine is going to be both incredibly meta and also a lot of fun. It’s definitely a different sort of way for Cryer to dive back into the sitcom world, and to work alongside some really great performers who are icons in their own right.

Can we have more Jon Cryer on NCIS– We recently advocated for Cryer to come back to another series in NCIS, where he has previously played the part of Cyril Taft.

This is not the first time in which we have seen Will & Grace bring on a big-name celebrity in the role of themselves — after all, Jennifer Lopez has a history of doing so on the series, and even stopped by for an episode earlier this season in which she played both herself and also her Shades of Blue character of Harlee Santos. These sort of guest spots are a way to expand out the series and also generate more headlines — which we understand that Will & Grace may not technically need, but we do still think that it is going to be rather fun for them to have.

New episodes of the series are going to start airing on NBC a little bit later this fall, and we’re looking forward to diving into those more in the weeks to come.
