Crime Dynamic Duos: Lucifer, Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0 pairs advance

Throughout this month, the Crime Dynamic Duos tournament has been a great way to celebrate some of the most-underrated and under-served pairs out there. These are characters with great relationships, great skill, and a great ability to make you want to root for them. Isn’t it nice to celebrate some of TV’s most-likable characters from time to time?

Tomorrow, we are formally introducing the third round of contestants in the tournament, as voting for round 2 is officially said and done. You can preview the round 3 bracket above! Just click on the picture to get a larger look. You’ve got now competing characters from Wynonna Earp, Blue Bloods, Lucifer, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS: Los Angeles, Blindspot, Take Two, and MacGyver. What we like about all of the shows represented here in round 3 is that they really are a nice microcosm of all of the great diversity that exists within the crime-fighting genre. You’ve got a couple of shows in here with supernatural tinges to them and then also some about cops, private investigators, and just people who kick butt for government organizations.

What’s also nice is that we’ve got some genuine underdogs as well. One top seed has already fallen in the tournament, and we’ve still got two #7 seeds still in the running. It’s possible that one or both of those could make it to the final four; we certainly do love writing about a good Cinderella story!

Voting is going to begin tomorrow for the first round 3 battle — one featuring Steve / Danny of Hawaii Five-0 and then Sam / Eddie from Take Two. The graphic lays out when all of the polls begin, so be sure to come back daily to see some more showdowns! It’s been fun watching where most of the votes have fallen so far in the tournament, and we’ve got a good feeling that it’s going to remain that way for the rest of the month.
