Better Call Saul season 4 episode 3 video: Kim returns to work
In the sneak peek below, you can see Rhea Seehorn’s character doing her best in order to take a step forward and get back to Mesa Verde. She’s been forced to take a little bit of time to recover from the accident, but she wants to get back and she’s eager still to prove herself. It’s been tough for her — she was working herself to the bone before the accident happened, and we certainly do wonder whether or not she’s going to get herself into the same position again.
For now, though, we just try to see Kim return to normalcy — it’s nice to imagine that things stay that way forever, but the reality here is that this is probably just a blip on a much-larger radar that is her life. She has to figure out a way in which to keep on living in the midst of what is going to be an inevitable storm. She’s on the cusp of potentially losing everything, but she does not even know it yet. A big part of the mystery within this show is based just on what happens to her and, to go along with it, how that impacts Jimmy in the midst of his transition into Saul Goodman.
Given that there are still many more episodes to go this season and we are just at the beginning, there is certainly room for a number of different surprises coming up in the future. Maybe the Mesa Verde case ends up giving Kim so much success that she gets away from Albuquerque … but this is also not really a world in which happy endings happen.
