Elementary season 6 episode 17 sneak peek: Worms and affairs

Elementary

As we’ve said before, Elementary season 6 episode 17 is going to be one of the creepiest episodes of the entire season. That’s especially true if you are freaked out by worms.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Sherlock Holmes do his part in order to figure out the murder of a zoologist, someone who had a number of different love affairs — basically, he may have a number of different people out there who were heartbroken and therefore, interested in killing him. This zoologist also had a pattern of naming many of the species of worms he discovered after some of the women who were in his life; hence, them being perfect representation of some of the different possible killers on Sherlock’s board. It’s an interesting discussion that he has with Joan about it, as he notes that naming a species, something that is going to be around for quite some time, after a person is something that would be considered a considerably romantic gesture. It’s not all that hard to figure out why someone would consider this to be especially romantic. It serves as a way to set the stage for some of the rest of the story that follows.

At the end of the video, you also get a good sense as to the episode’s B-story — Sherlock doing what he can in order to figure out what’s happening when it comes to his identity after some medical records were stolen. As we’ve noted in the past, this could be a sign that, in some shape or form, Michael could be back and could be checking up on him. Sherlock recognizes that this is something he needs to be diligent about. While it’s possible that this could be a random theft by someone looking to make a quick buck off of someone’s identity, the motive here could be so much more sinister.
