Big Brother 20 live feed spoilers: Sam’s allergic reaction (day 60)

Sam Bledsoe

Welcome to day 60 in the Big Brother 20 house! We’re hoping that there’s a lot of fun, crazy stuff that’s going to happen over the course of the day, but let’s start with what happened last night — especially to Sam.

Briefly, last night there was a scary situation when Brett gave Sam some tuna with some hemp seeds — which first arrived in the house presumably via Kaitlyn’s Head of Household basket. While Brett didn’t know Sam was allergic, her lips started to swell up immediately after she had it. Everything was taken care of medically behind the scenes and she’s okay, but it was scary for a few minutes there.

Beyond Sam’s incident, things were pretty much set in stone last night entering the Veto Competition today. As we explain both in the article here and the video below (subscribe for more updates, and check out our playlist), Scottie and Brett are on the block in what has to be one of the most dubious decisions of the season. Scottie, to his credit, was able to figure out rather quickly yesterday precisely what was going on here: This was a nomination that was, in part, about how much time he and Brett spend with Haleigh. Faysal claims that it’s because Scottie and Brett are playing the middle of the house, but really it’s about so much more than that.

Now, Scottie is in a situation where either he has to win the Veto, or Haleigh has to and then pull him down. Today is a Zingbot Veto, and what’s important about that is that these are competitions that these two could actually be fairly good at. There’s typically a speed and a puzzle component to most of these and they’re both fairly smart. Yet, they’re also going be outnumbered and we do think that everyone on the Level 6 side is going to be fairly eager to win this. If they don’t, Tyler in particular may be forced to play his Cloud power even if he doesn’t really need to do so. (Technically, Haleigh may not even be picked to play.)
