Power season 5: What character is in the most danger?
Because of this, we want to approach today’s feature a little bit differently as we pose the rather-simple question in the title: Is there a character who we should be a little bit more worried about than others? Whose fate is really left hanging in the balance? We’ve got five different candidates at the moment, though of course this is pure speculation — there are no spoilers ahead!
Tariq – Given that Ghost has already lost one child and we certainly don’t see something happening to help, doesn’t it make some sense that he would lose his son? From the vantage point of stakes, there is a pretty compelling reason why this could happen. Losing Tariq at this point would send him down an even darker path, one that is even more predictable. That’s bad for him, but also good for the story as a viewer.
Dre – This guy is starting to get a little too close to the sun, and at this point it’s really a question of when, not if, he is going to push himself too far and get himself killed. Our big question is who will be responsible for pulling the trigger in the end.
LaKeisha – She’s been somewhat innocent in a lot of the major comings and goings on the show, but because of who Tommy is and the sort of people he associates himself with, it certainly feels like something terrible could happen to her.
Teresi – Meanwhile, we definitely do envision a world in which Tommy finds out about what happens to his father and, in turn, chooses to have something “happen to him” — regardless of whether or not he pulls the trigger himself.
John Mok – He’s entangled himself with everyone from Protctor to Angela to Teresi, and ultimately, he has so much danger and influence to be considered a threat. If eliminating him ends up helping some characters on the show, we don’t think they will hesitate.

Mak has to go – maybe Tommy finds new inspiration on creativity after what he saw Tony do to the guy who put wights in the briefcase.
Although not at any imminent risk as the others, Councilman Tate would be good candidate for an old-fashioned whacking down the road. Epitome of a slimeball who should get his comeuppance.
