America’s Got Talent: Could Mochi, Flau’jae, Lord Nil have wildcard opportunity?

America's Got Talent

Are there still hopes for a wildcard on America’s Got Talent moving into the semifinals? Well, we do think that there are some egregious snubs from this past show, whether you are talking about Mochi (who didn’t get enough support from the judges) or Flau’jae, who wasn’t even up for the Dunkin’ Save in the first place. We thought both of these acts were brilliant, even more so than some of the ones who went through.

Now, let’s talk about the odds of there being a wildcard — they’re high. SUPER high. There are three quarterfinal shows, and in these shows there are seven people going through. That means, overall, there are 21 acts that will officially be a part of the semifinals. Given that there are two semifinal shows, that’s a little bit of a weird number. and that means that there’s going to be at least one wildcard added to the mix. The only other alternative there is that producers decide to add three more to the mix, which would bring the total up to 24 overall. We’re ultimately fine with it either way — it mostly just adds a little bit of entertainment to the show since we don’t seriously think that any of these performers at this point in the competition have that much of a chance of actually being able to move on to the finals.

If we had to pick a person from this week to come back, it’s probably Lord Nil, just because he was the one most screwed over by the judges. He gave a great performance, and then was criticized for it as though danger acts shouldn’t be dangerous. If this influenced America’s vote it is a dire shame since he very good at what he does.
