Outlander season 4 premiere date of November 4 is (finally) official
Over a week after the network (seemingly on accident) revealed the premiere date in a video teaser, the show’s official Twitter account has made it clear that this is, in fact, when the show is going to come back. They basically say the date so many times in the tweet that it’s impossible to think anything other than that this is an official reveal. It’s also exciting, given that it means effectively that we’re just two and a half months away from the series being back! The network can start promoting this more in earnest and we can all set our calendars and prepare the viewing parties. The Droughtlander has been long, but our patience is finally going to pay off!

Also, what this November 4 premiere date for season 4 effectively means is that the series has even more flexibility when it comes to whether or not they want to air episodes over the course of the holidays. You don’t want a situation where you premiere at the end of the month, air only a few episodes, and then go off the air for a couple of weeks! If Starz wants to take a Christmas Vacation, they can do this by airing the first six or seven episodes before taking a little time off.
The most important thing is that the news is finally out there and there’s no more reason for speculation as to the series’ future. We can start to also compose timelines for when more trailers and other goodies will start to be revealed. There’s a chance for at least some headlines this weekend at the New Jersey convention, but we don’t expect a trailer still until at some point next month.
