America’s Got Talent Dunkin’ Save results: Did Mochi, Angel City Chorale, Junior New System advance?
While we know that some out there may be watching for the performance from reigning champion Darci Lynne (an understandably so), the main focus of this particular article is discussing the contestants who actually make it through to the next round! Dunkin’ Save contenders – The three acts who will need the Dunkin’ Save in real time are Angel City Chorale, Junior New System, and Mochi. We’re not really shocked about any of this, but it’s somewhat of a bummer because all three of these acts are legitimately good. Mochi is our preference of the tree, just because of originality. (Of course, America doesn’t always give us precisely what we want.)
Advancing Acts
We Three – This one was fairly easy to project, mostly because they have good singing voices and have an emotional backstory — these are the sort of things that tend to lead to great success on this show.
Vicki Barbolak – Based on her audition, we’re all for this. Yet, her performance last night was more about shtick than it was her actual comedy.
Amanda Mena – She’s a singer with a big audience. This one felt by and large like a no-brainer from America.
Courtney Hadwin – She’s the favorite to win the whole show. This one was fairly obvious.
Shin Lim – He’s certainly a solid candidate to make the finals. Of this group, Vicki is really the only one we consider to be a moderate surprise.
Dunkin’ Save Winner – Angel City Chorale. America loves singers, and while we didn’t love them last night, we get it based on what they did in Judge Cuts.
Judges Pick – Junior New System. They’re great, but we can’t say that we agree with this at all based on last night.
