9-1-1 season 2 promo hints at pot dispensary fire
Yet, why is the caller laughing in this particular preview? Well, a big part of that has to deal with the fact that the fire is happening at a pot dispensary. We don’t really think that the caller really has any other choice in the matter! These dispensaries are super-common around Los Angeles, and given that many of them are in super-small buildings, it’s not exactly like there is anywhere to hide from the smoke unless you get out of the building soon.
9-1-1 season 2 is actually premiering at a time when there is more attention being paid to fires than at almost any other point in recent memory. After all, there are wildfires that are spreading and causing unspeakable damage throughout the state of California. While we’re not entirely sure just how much that is going to be highlighted on the series itself, it is absolutely still something that is notable in terms of what’s happening in the real world.
One thing that we should note here is that just because we’re seeing a pot dispensary on fire in this promo doesn’t necessarily mean that it is going to be a part of the actual season. One of the things that we’ve really come to learn over time with Ryan Murphy shows (see American Horror Story) is that a lot of the teasers that are created are meant to just build up excitement more than they are actually giving something major away when it comes to the story that lies ahead.
This season of 9-1-1 is going to premiere with a special airing on Sunday, September 23 after football before eventually shifting over to its standard timeslot the following day.
