This Is Us season 3 spoilers: Michael Angarano to play Jack’s brother
According to a new report from Deadline, Michael Angarano of I’m Dying Up Here is going to be appearing moving forward as Jack Pearson’s brother Nicky, a man who has been certainly addressed on the series in the past. Pending some sort of dramatic surprise reveal, it appears as though Nicky died in Vietnam back well before the Big Three were even born. It’s not something that Jack Pearson talked about all that much over the course of his life, but we certainly hope it’s something that we get a little bit more information on with Kevin’s story. If you recall, at the end of season 2 Justin Hartley’s character decided that he wanted to head to Vietnam in order to explore and get a much better understanding of his father’s past. In doing this, he would certainly be aware as to who the man really was and some of the tenets that were near and dear to him.
In allowing us to see Nicky in the flesh, This Is Us is also doing a good job of making sure that Milo Ventimiglia continues to get some great scenes on the series. We know that one of the major concerns many people had was how the series was really going to focus on the character in the aftermath of learning how he died during season 2. Luckily, it does feel as though there are many more stories still to be told here, just in a different era than we have seen really explored on the show in the past. It’s a totally new part of the history.
