MacGyver season 3 episode 3 to be college episode

MacGyver

Recently, we told you that MacGyver season 3 was going to be giving you an episode that was set within the world of college. Now, we’ve got a little bit more information on when this particular episode is going to air.

In a new post on Instagram, series star Justin Hires (Bozer) made it clear that this episode is going to be the third one to air this season. We know that some of the main characters are going to be going undercover as college students during the episode. Beyond just that, we also know that one of the houses used in the episode is the same one used for some of Tyler Perry’s Madea movies. Given that MacGyver films in Atlanta, it’s not all that much of a shocker that they are using some of the same sets. While the film community in the city has become increasingly large, it’s still not on the same level as in Los Angeles and there does tend to be a lot of connective tissue between a number of different projects.

As for why Bozer and the rest of the crew are at college, we don’t quite think that it’s all that hard to figure out. There’s probably some sort of crisis there that the Phoenix Foundation is going to have to assist with, and really the best way in which for them to do this is going undercover and seeing if there is a way for them to really hit the ground running. Still, we anticipate there being a lot of humor here — college can be a really fun time for people and we feel like some of these characters are going to probably relish this opportunity to don alter egos and do some stuff that they may not have had all that much of an opportunity to do in the past.

New episodes of MacGyver are set to premiere on CBS come Friday, September 28 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We’ll have more news the moment that it’s out there.
