Longmire Days returns to Wyoming for first time since series end

This weekend, there was a celebration of all things Longmire out in Buffalo, Wyoming — and, in turn, it makes us miss the series more. Longmire Days has been a yearly tradition for some time now, as every single year author Craig Johnson and many of the show’s stars congregate alongside a wide array of fans from all over the place.

While there, series star Robert Taylor did a Facebook Live Q&A, something that you can see below. In this one he answers a number of different questions and talks about both the show and the experience of being there.

What was great about Longmire is that it was one of those shows that brought a lot of different people together, and it is also one that has a really interesting spot in TV history now. Because of Netflix saving it many years ago, pretty much anytime that a show gets canceled now people petition the streaming company to bring it back. The only other series over the past few years that has experienced something similar was Lucifer, which was saved earlier this year after it was canceled at Fox.

So is there a chance for a Longmire movie down the road? That’s a question that has been asked for many months but at this point, it seems pretty unlikely. There hasn’t been much movement over the past several months and we figure that getting everyone back together would prove quite complicated. We’ll still hold the series close in our heart and would love to see it at some point down the road … but for now, we are grateful that we had six seasons and something that felt like an actual series finale. That’s really not something you get all that much of in the TV world these days, so you really do have to feel fairly grateful to get it whenever it does.

Is there a part of you that is still hoping for a Longmire movie at some point down the road? Share right now in the comments!
