Power season 5 episode 7 spoilers: Proctor wants dirt on Angela
Take, for example, Joe Proctor — who seems to be interested in getting some more dirt on what she’s up to as a means to better get some leverage for himself. We know that Proctor is really at the moment transfixed on one thing — clearing his name and also getting on the right path again. He has a custody battle to deal with an also wants to get John Mok and others away from him.
Of course, the irony here is that, like many other characters on this show, he is willing to take some slightly-unseemly risks as a means to make sure that he gets a little bit more of what he wants. You can see Joe trying to arrange a new plan with Tommy to find out some of her secrets at the link here, and he knows that this is something that he has to keep from Ghost. After all, it’s really one of the only ways in which he can get some of the information that he needs.
Ultimately, what makes Sunday’s episode so interesting now is that we’ve got many main characters operating against one another for the sake of protecting their own hide. Ghost and Angela are in the same orbit again, Tasha’s going to be pleading with Silver for the sake of her own protection, and Teresi has some key decisions to make as to what he wants to do to secure his own freedom. Power has always functioned extremely well as a legal drama, and a number of the different stories this weekend are going to give us a chance to explore this a little bit further.
