Is NCIS season 16 taking to the skies? New location tease
Earlier this week, we told you that filming for what could be the third episode of the season is underway; now, we’ve got a little bit more information via the photo below, which was posted on the official Twitter of Christopher J. Waild. The caption “I feel the need…the need for speed…” is of course a reference to Top Gun, which goes in line perfectly with this particular location.
If we’re meant to take all of this information at face value, we could be gearing up for a really fun, exciting, and different sort of episode this week. While we don’t know if any characters are actually going to be taking to the skies, they will be at least surrounded by airplanes and the idea of this is absolutely exciting in itself. It’s possible that someone at this base was murdered and the NCIS team is doing an investigation there; or, it’s also certainly possible that there are some witnesses or persons of interest who are there.
No matter the reason for the time making this visit, we’re just glad to see that they are shaking things up and bringing you an interesting setting. With a show like NCIS, the more opportunities that you have to bring people out into the field, the better off that we are going to be as viewers in the end.
Alas, there is still a long ways to go until the show returns to CBS — think along the lines of Tuesday, September 25. This episode, if it airs in its production order, will come on at some point in October.
