Hawaii Five-0 season 9: Is this the time for Junior, Tani to get together?

Mrs. Carter: Is it time for a potential relationship to become an official one over Hawaii Five-0 season 9?

When you look at the characters of Junior Reigns and Tani Rey, it is fairly easy to make a case for the two of them getting together. For one, it already seems to be written in the stars! I know from the flash-forward dream sequence episode that the two characters are married and while we do understand that Danny Williams’ visions of the future may not actually be canon with the rest of the series, the idea of these two characters being together is a fun thing to think about it.

What I also know is that the relationship between Tani and Junior is an especially-fun one and has been ever since the two characters first surfaced on the series together. They have a lot in common in that they’re new to the Task Force and eager to learn; yet, their personalities are very much different. Tani is extremely gung-ho and at times doesn’t mind breaking the rules in order to achieve some of he desired goals. Meanwhile, Junior has a tendency to be a little more straight-laced. While he is fine to break the rules when the situation calls for it, he is used to following orders and being a part of the team.

As a partnership, I find the two entertaining — but it would be even more so if they ever got into a full-fledged relationship together. They would have some great romantic moments together, but also some pretty fun arguments where they could play off of the chemistry that they have. While I do think that eventually, the producers are going to go in this direction with the two, it’s largely a question of when. Is there a good time in order to make this movie, and do you worry about this year being too soon? I absolutely would understand that being the case given that it’s only a year since the two characters were first introduced.

Yet, Hawaii Five-0 is currently set to enter season 9. You almost have to move rather-quickly when it comes to this relationship since you never know at this point just how many years you are going to have left for the series.
