Do Reverie finale ratings improve season 2 chances?

Reverie premiere

The first Reverie finale ratings are out via NBC, and as most of you dedicated TV fans know, this is really the last chance that viewers have to improve the show’s season 2 odds.

Well, the ratings for last night are somewhat of a mixed bag. The good news is that the episode generated a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic which was steady with the week prior. However, the bad news is that it would’ve been nice to see it rise. The live ratings for the show are underwhelming, even for summer — while it may perform well via DVR and other measures, live ratings are superficially the main thing networks look at.

Still, don’t give up hope entirely. It certainly seems as though the entire cast and crew would like to go back and make more — it seems like doing the show was a good experience for everyone and they aren’t quite ready for it to be over just yet. NBC does also have a big stake in the show and that could go a long way.

The one thing that we know is that based on the ending of the finale alone, there’s certainly a reasonably good case for the entire Reverie cast and crew to get back together. Heck, with the expansion of the program there are probably going to be even more cases for Onira Tech to take on in the weeks to come and we’re eager to see a lot of those explored.
