Lucifer season 4 debate: Should Tom Ellis sing in the premiere?

Lucifer

Are we all going to blessed with the gift of a Tom Ellis performance in the Lucifer season 4 premiere? Given the show’s history, and a new tease from one of the series’ two showrunners, it seems certainly possible.

The post that CarterMatt has for you below comes courtesy of executive producer Joe Henderson, and it features a suggestion that they should record a song in preparation for the first episode of the season. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to polish things up before filming and a lot of it has actually already been done! It takes a long time to ensure that all of the proper pieces are in place to make the best premiere possible – as they say it takes a village.

What we know at the moment is the official title for the premiere episode, and also that the series is going to be addressing some of the events of the cliffhanger. There will be new characters we get to meet during the fourth season, and hopefully also get a good sense as to where the story of “Boo Normal” and “Once Upon a Time” was meant to fit into the larger scope of the story. There are ten new episodes coming to Netflix, presumably in the new year.

While Lucifer hasn’t done a full-on musical episode, Ellis has performed as Lucifer Morningstar on a number of occasions. These performances have allowed the series to have a stronger emotional core, as they often echo both the themes of the episode and also the oft-repressed emotions in Lucifer’s heart. There’s always a cause for excitement when Lucifer chooses to belt out a tune.

What do you want to see on the Lucifer season 4 premiere, and is Tom Ellis singing at the top of the list? Be sure to share right now in the attached comments!
