The 100 season 6 premiere date hopes for Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, cast

The 100

Following tonight’s finale airing on The CW, what could The 100 season 6 premiere date be? In this article, we want to offer some speculation on that subject.

Let’s start, of course, with a reminder that there will be a sixth season of The 100 coming up in the future. That was first revealed earlier on during season 5. Even if the show has been forced into a rather-difficult timeslot through much of the summer, it has found a way to make it work — and much of that is due to the show’s devoted fan base. We also do think that The CW does like having some sort of established hit that it can put on the air at a time when good programming is somewhat hard to come by and this summer has been especially dry in that regard.

It’s with this in mind that, we do not think that we’re going to be seeing more of The 100 on the air until we get around to the spring of next year. We’ll be lucky if the Eliza Taylor – Bob Morley series premieres any earlier in the year, but maybe the network’s shift over to six nights of programming a week will open the door to something a bit different.

As for whether or not season 6 is going to be the final one for the series, The 100 is starting to get to that point where some of these conversations could come up. Both season 6 (confirmed) and a possible season 7 (not confirmed yet) are points where there could be serious conversations about an end point, but (at least for now), the next season isn’t officially the end. Here is what CW head Mark Pedowitz had to say on the subject recently at TCA (via TVLine):

“Jason [Rothenberg] has done a remarkable job of revitalizing the show, and I hope it can go on for a long time … We’re pretty good at people giving people enough time to wrap up their shows.”

Pedowitz is right about that — the vast majority of the series to air on The CW have at least had a few months of advance warning that their shows are ending so that they can go in and try to tie together some of the most-important loose ends.
