Outlander notes: More via Sam Heughan; premiere date update

Outlander

In today’s Outlander notes, we do got a couple of different things that we want to get to, but let’s kick things off by offering up an update on some of the craziness from last night.

As many of you out there may have saw, a new teaser from Starz on Facebook suggested that season 4 will be premiering on November 4. You can view that post and see more discussion on that over at the link here. We do think that it’s notable the clip can still be viewed within our previous story, and that does give some credence to the idea that it’s legit. Nonetheless, we still believe that this wasn’t a planned announcement and just an error behind the scenes. (We’ve heard that some versions of the clip no longer feature the date.)

Ultimately, it feels like we can all start making our plans to start watching the show early November, and this is great news for Starz as they try to make the most of some of the cooler months of the year. This is good news for the show’s ratings, as there could be more potential viewers out there at around this time.

If you missed it, we discussed the premiere-date situation and why we’re not officially confirming it just yet in the video below. If you like this, subscribe to CarterMatt on Facebook and check out our playlist.

One more Sam Heughan interview

There is one more interview that has surfaced from Sam’s time in America promoting The Spy Who Dumped Me, this time over at Entertainment TonightCheck it out below in order to See Sam, on the night of the season 4 teaser being unveiled, talking about the new movie in addition to, of course, the James Bond conversation that’s been out there. While we don’t think that there’s all that much in the way of new information included in here, isn’t it better to get a new interview featuring Sam than no new interview at all?

Sam is going to be off for the next week or so, though preparing at the same time to head to South Africa in order to film his role in the new movie Bloodshot. The latest we’ve heard is that this movie is going to come out in 2020, so you’re going to be waiting for a while to see Sam embark on a promotional tour for that! As a matter of fact, this could be around the same time Outlander season 5 comes out. (We would be shocked if it releases in 2019, given that it doesn’t start filming until February.)

Before you go, we suggest (as always) that you like CarterMatt on Facebook in order to ensure that you don’t miss any other update regarding the series. (Photo: Starz.)
