Call the Midwife season 8 spoilers: What’s coming up for Lucille?
While we do worry that some of these forces could collide with Leonie Elliott’s character over the course of this season, we do think that there are going to be some positive moments as well. She has a supportive Nonnatus family all around her, and moving further into the story one of her big plans is going to be to try and put down roots. Here’s some of what she had to say in a new post via Facebook:
“…Lucille begins to put down roots in the country that invited her, and in the neighbourhood that needs her skills so badly. It’s a country convulsed by cultural, social and economic change – midway through a decade that will ultimately define a century of British progress.
“Leonie brings Lucille’s wonderful wit and sensitivity to the screen again – meeting those tumultuous changes head on, and seeking out those common bonds that can make a new place feel a little more like home.”
If you love stories about acceptance, about finding commonality in hard times, and also of course medical cases, Call the Midwife is going to continue to be up your alley. This show brings you so much great storytelling in a neat little package. The Christmas Special will premiere later this year, while season 8 is going coming your way starting in January.
