Take Two episode 7 video: Is Sam’s sobriety in danger?
If you’re a big fan of the show and have seen either the promo that CarterMatt has for you below or some other teases (included some that we’ve got over here) you may know a thing or two about the premise for this episode already. Sam and Eddie are going to start things off in bed together, but have no recollection as to how they got there. Were they drugged or brainwashed?
Let’s start by saying that we have a hard time imagining that anything romantic actually happened between the two. If this show is anything like Castle, we imagine that the writers are going to want to build towards something a little more worthy of fireworks than a hookup neither one of them remembers. Wouldn’t that be kind of anticlimactic?
It’s with this in mind that we personally feel more like the story we’re going to see moving forward is about who did this to them and also why.
On a more serious note, this Take Two episode does raise some questions for Sam and her sobriety. It makes sense for her to wonder if she drank the night before; she may be familiar with blackouts because of her history, and that’s something that she does have to worry about. We hope that this isn’t it, largely because doing this job with Eddie seems to be giving her the sense of stability and the routine that she really craves. This could be the key to her long-term health … but sobriety is also an ongoing battle. You don’t get cured of your addiction just because of a stay in rehab, it’s about the continuous work that you do once you’re back on your own.
