Blue Bloods season 9: Three supporting characters who could star in spotlight episodes

Blue Bloods season 9

Things remain relatively quiet on the Blue Bloods season 9 front today, but we do come bearing a new feature! This one is all about some of the characters who don’t get a lot of attention when it comes to promotion for the show, but still deserve some time to shine. Maybe these characters also deserve a spotlight episode along the way? We like to think so!

What we tried to within this article is focus on characters who we haven’t written all that much about in the past — for example, we love Abigail Baker, but we’ve already got a full article out there on the subject of her character already.

Anthony Abetemarco – We love the scenes that we get with Erin and Anthony, mostly because Anthony may as well be a distant cousin with the way in which the two characters argue! We want to see more of his life away from the office and also how much he truly enjoys working with Erin. Basically, their back-and-forth has added a new spice to some of her storylines and we’re game to see more of it.

Garrett Moore – While we do occasionally get a good subplot featuring him, you also should consider this: We’ve seen this guy in over 140 episodes of the series and yet, we don’t really know that much about him. Whether it be his life or his relationship with other people in the NYPD, there is a lot that can be explored with him. For example, what happens if he’s in a position where he has to be even more of a leader? Or, is there a way in which he and Frank can get involved in the most epic fight we’ve seen from them yet?

Sean and Jack Reagan – Technically, they’re two separate characters, but we do think there’s some interesting ground that could be explored in seeing how they are handling Linda’s death, one year later. It’s also a way in which to get a different perspective on Danny as a father.

What do you want to see for some of these characters moving into Blue Bloods season 9? Share right away in the comments!
