Elementary season 6 episode 16 spoilers: Jonny Lee Miller directs!

For those of you excited to see Jonny Lee Miller back in the director’s chair, you will get to see that on Elementary season 6 episode 16! “Uncanny Valley of the Dolls” is actually the second episode of the season in which the actor has drected, as he also did that earlier this summer with “Give Me the Finger.” It’s not all that often that you see actors get to direct two episodes within the same season, so we love that Elementary is one of those shows that does open the door to that possibility. Criminal Minds is another good one that supports their cast getting into the directors seat.

As for what you can expect when it comes to the story, let’s just say that we’re going to see a case that involves the idea of teleportation. This almost feels like an episode of a superhero show as much as it does a crime procedural, but we know that Elementary does like to dabble in cutting-edge science and some of the dangers that come with that. It produces almost its own version of Black Mirror that way – except without as much terror.

“Uncanny Valley of the Dolls” – Holmes and Watson discover that the murder of a robotics engineer may be connected to his groundbreaking secret research in the area of real-life teleportation. Also, when Detective Bell is shut out of a required class he needs in order to complete his master’s degree and join the U.S. Marshal Service, he is shocked to discover the course instructor has personal reasons for denying him access, on ELEMENTARY, Monday, August 13 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Jonny Lee Miller directed the episode.

Now, we’re feeling two separate ways when it comes to the Bell storyline. In one sense, we do want to see him get this new opportunity since it is what he wants. Yet, we also don’t want to lose him from the show!
