America’s Got Talent video: Noah Guthrie, UDI Dance Group return
Since both of the new sneak peeks that we have on Noah and UDI are fairly short, let’s just offer up some quick-takes on what they are doing this time around.
Noah – This performance comes via Parade, and while it is a fantastic take on “Whipping Post” and it seems to be fairly well-received by the judges, we do still wonder if he’s going to get through to the next round. There is a history on AGT of singing acts with some sort of preexisting fame being eliminated at this point, almost as though they use their fandoms in order to reel them in before sending the act they care about the most out the door.
Judging from the audience reaction to this performance though, we do still think Noah’s got a chance. He’s also been the recipient of plenty of airtime.

UDI – This video can be seen over at Good Housekeeping, and technically, what this crew does is so unique and visual that there isn’t much else like it — at least on the show this year. The comparisons to Light Balance are going to be pretty unavoidable, but they make it their own. The way that the preview is cut together is a little unfortunate, since it doesn’t feel like we’re given an opportunity to see the full story that they are ultimately trying to tell.
Of these two acts, we’re probably more confident that Noah makes the live shows, but at the same time we like both of them and would love to see each one of them advance.
