The Good Doctor season 2: Jared will return in premiere
According to a new report coming in via TVLine, the premiere episode of the show is going to feature one more appearance from Jared before it starts to move into some other directions. While we do remain sad over the character’s departure, we also understand it. The character went through a good bit in the first season and on the other side of that, it makes some sense that he wouldn’t return. It’s realistic for the medical profession for there to be doctors who come and go, especially early on in their careers before they start to become firmly established.
We do think that Jared’s departure will mean a number of things to different people, most notably Claire thanks to the relationship that they had and what happened leading up to him leaving. Everyone will move forward, but we do hope that there are still some reasons in which to reference the character moving forward. We never love it when a character just falls off a map and we never see/hear from them in any shape or form moving forward, especially if they had an impact on someone.
New episodes of The Good Doctor will premiere on ABC in September, and one of the first orders of business is going to be resolving what transpired with Dr. Aaron Glassman at the end of the season 1 finale. From there, we can see the series start to move forward and focus on some other things, which of course includes some complicated medical cases.
