Is Code Black new tonight? The season 4 hopes continue…

Is Code Black new tonight on CBS? We know that we would certainly like to see more of the series in some form. Yet, at the moment, it doesn’t appear as though any announcement on the future is imminent.

Also, it’s clear that there is no new episode tonight, as this past week marked the series finale. (You can read more about that by heading over the link here.) The series had a fantastic run for three years, building a loyal following and delivering consistently one of TV’s best medical dramas. Unfortunately, for the time being it doesn’t appear as though that is making an enormous difference when it comes to what CBS did when it comes to canceling the show, or what another network may be doing when it comes to wanting to pick it up.

Do we think that Code Black has been in discussions with streaming providers? Sure, but that is no guarantee of much of anything. Still, there’s no reason to give up hope just yet. Continue to spread the word about the show, discuss it on social media, and we’ll see what happens! We certainly do think that the ratings here do speak for themselves, though, when you think about why the show should be renewed. Just think for a moment about the sheer number of shows that actually find themselves getting routinely more than 5 million viewers weekly. That’s especially true in the summer, which is a time in which the majority of series are often ignored or forgotten about. That didn’t happen with Code Black, which is why we think it would be okay in the future.

What we do know is this: Code Black is an exceptional show, and it is absolutely worthy of a longer run. Fingers crossed it gets to happen somewhere.
