Shadowhunters season 3 finale filming updates, cupcakes, and more
Let’s start with Maia, mostly because it is nice to have verification that she will, in fact, be a part of the final two episodes of the season despite Alisha Wainwright being cast recently in another project. This was confirmed by co-showrunner Todd Slavkin, who is currently directing up in Toronto (if you haven’t been to Toronto, it’s a really wonderful city that we lived in for many years). He confirmed this while in the midst of offering up some other praise for some of the other co-stars including Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Matthew Daddario, and others. Check out some of his tweets that CarterMatt has for you below for some other thoughts on this particular subject.
Just in case you were wondering about whether or not there will be any major Malec moments in these final episodes, rest assured that you are going to get some of those, as well. Malec is one of the foundations of Shadowhunters, and the relationship between the Magnus – Alec characters has inspired hope and passion in so many fans all over the world. Consider this just one of many different reasons why fans are fighting so hard in order to save the show.

Today I had the pleasure of directing @WainwrightAE and witnessing her magic from a front row seat. I am and will always be in awe of her. Thank you Alisha for bringing Maia to life in a way I could only dream of #stilltrembling #shemakesitlooksoeasy #shadowhunters https://t.co/Rk3BvR4CM8

Today @arosende was a kickass vampire, a comedic genius & a dramatic actor who moved me to my core. Oh and he can sing too. Is there anything he can't do? #talenteddoesntdohimjustice #theskyisthelimit #blessedtosharethesameset #shadowhunters

Still reeling over @EmeraudeToubia today and her portrayal of Isabelle. With that twinkle in her eye, Em brings the brains, the brawn & the beauty with such elegance and grace. Fandom is going to flip over Izzy's journey #adirectorsdream #mypersonalposturecoach #shadowhunters
